As a company, this is something that we constantly strive against. We are forever trying to shatter the confines of reality and breathe life into the fantastical. The key lies in embracing innovative thinking.
Space travel is also a product of innovative thinking. It is also something that we are fascinated by. So we have created our own space-themed product, which not only embraces the fantasy world of science fiction, but also the logical world of science fact.
We have called this product “Project Voyage”. Or “Voyage” for short.

The advent of augmented reality and virtual reality has revolutionised storytelling. We have created our own version of this, and applied it to Voyage. The product is made up of a number of different components, which are designed to be used in tandem, making the product a multi-sensory experience. There is a scented candle, the scent of which has been created from the study of declassified NASA documents, pertaining to what travelling in space supposedly smells like. There is a piece of custom made music to listen to whilst you burn the candle, and finally there is an “induction letter” which contains full instructions about how to use Voyage, in order to get the most out of it.
According to the declassified NASA documents, dust from the moon smells of spent gunpowder, and the spacecraft used to travel there and back smells of hot electronics, melted plastic and rusty metal. We have worked those precise scents into a scented candle which has a very unusual smell, almost like it is from another world entirely. The music is an hour-long piece of electronic music, which simulates a dramatic, enthralling rocket launch sequence, before heading into the territory of deep space, where the music moves into a more relaxing phase. Finally, the music leaves you feeling energised as the journey ends with a splashdown into the sea back on Earth.
